Would be great to hear from you about what your school or company is doing to embody the tradition of Jesuit theater. At Fordham, we are looking to emphasize social justice, in our subject matter, our process, our ethos about the work, and our community agreements. Please let us know what you are doing.

As part of the Advent programming at St. Malachy's NYC (The Actor's Chapel) there will be an Advent retreat on the first three Fridays of Advent. Check it out on the parish website and click here for information and for Zoom link in case you cannot be there. https://www.actorschapel.org/actors-advent-retreat

In the "play within the play" we get to see a depiction of the conversion of St. Genesius. I always wondered who he was and so this is a great way to get into it. The writing style of the Baroque was certainly over the top (like every other art form of the time) But it is a fun way to see the power of what he must have experienced. At St. Malachy's (The Actors Chapel) we have a St. Genesius Society https://actorschapel.org/st-genesius-society Here is the link... Tell us about your experience of St. Genesius.

Welcome everyone. I thought it would be fun to start a discussion on who inspired you to look at theatre as a means of exploring questions of the Spirit. For me many of my inspirations are on this site: Joseph Brown, Erik Ehn, Bob VerEecke, John Walsh ... to name a few. Collaborators like Kristin Kusanovich and her work at Santa Clara with "Charisma" and "Anima" also continue to inspire me. I love working with the actors at Magis Theatre and with the community at "The Actors' Chapel" in New York. Who has inspired you?
